Features

Applications
- Industrial grade Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is commonly used in metal fabrication as a cost-effective shielding gas in arc welding applications
- Carbon dioxide finds application in the metal industry for environment protection, notably in fume suppression within Electric Arc Furnaces and during non-ferrous metallurgy processes.
- Carbon Dioxide is also used in the oil and gas sector for enhanced oil recovery (EOR). Its miscibility with heavy oils leads to a reduction in their viscosity, improving extraction. Additionally, CO2 can be employed to restore pressure in depleted oil reservoirs.
- In waste and water treatment, C02 is used to control pH and is a very good alternative to sulfuric or hypochlorous/hydrochloric acid as it is economic, safe and environmental friendly.
- In desalination plants, carbon dioxide is combined with lime for the production of potable water.
